Thoughtfully Considered

"I’m so grateful to be on this journey! We struggled with fertility issues for a long time and they were the hardest and saddest years of my life. So when I finally became pregnant, it was such a lovely and exciting moment but I found it hard to allow myself to believe it was true and hid it for a long time. I had no idea pregnancy would be so emotionally complicated and confusing! Now that those early feelings of disbelief have quietened and I’ve (mostly!) accepted that my body is changing rapidly, excitement has taken over and I can’t wait for our next chapter."

Read MoreOne of the reasons why I started working with clay is because I love making things using my hands. Feeling the material, its texture and what it can be used for excites me a lot in the process and hands are great tools to make, repair or destroy things. When I look at my surroundings now, I see the influence that my work has with the objects that surround me and the way I communicate with them. I love anything handmade and one-of-a-kind.

Read MoreI cooked alongside my mom from a young age and realized that working with flowers is in many ways quite similar to this method of cooking. In floristry, one must be creative with the ingredients you have, trust your instincts and don’t follow a strict flower recipe.

Read MoreBehind the curation of beautiful home goods is really a deep desire to help others nurture a connection to moments rather than things, to foster a‘feeling’ of home rather than a ‘style’ of home-like how a beautiful wooden dish brush can accompany a contemplative, quiet moment at the kitchen sink or how a linen tablecloth can serve as a backdrop to a shared meal with loved ones.
